Curling shoes have a unique set of stresses. Coupled with the unique properties of every pair of custom curling shoes, there will sometimes arise the need for some basic maintenance.

One issue you may encounter is toe coat material that didn’t adhere well to the rubber parts of the shoe sole, especially where the toe flexes. If the toe coat has let go from the rubber, you’ll want to add a small drop of super glue under that section to ensure it holds again and prevents further damage like tearing or cracking.

With age and use you might find that something on the bottom of the sole has come a bit loose and needs to be reattached. Fortunately, most instances of needed repairs are resolved very quickly and easily with readily available materials. Follow these simple steps for repairs that will extend the life of your custom shoes.
